QikTools - the Reel Maker's video engine (ffmpeg.wasm core) ========================================================== This folder holds the in-browser video engine of QikTools' Reel Maker. It is free software under the GNU General Public License. This notice tells you what it is, under which licences, where the exact source code of this build is, and how to get a copy of it from us. 1. THE FILES ------------ The two files next to this notice, ffmpeg-core.js and ffmpeg-core.wasm, are the npm package @ffmpeg/core version 0.12.9 (its folder dist/umd), copied byte for byte and unmodified from the npm registry (https://registry.npmjs.org/@ffmpeg/core/-/core-0.12.9.tgz; the registry's integrity value for the package is sha512-nvkst/Y9OZtTkKhK53zUrIwmu5Ot+4NvXFOcl/CLQxrJwv22s4+tEMRaB24aa3UlTJoFi0H9+6vzqcBHoDGkZA==). ffmpeg-core.js 112,059 bytes SHA-256 b266ab5b952555881dd6310663986994a182acb2b7ff25cf10a25f7a37ac2b21 ffmpeg-core.wasm 32,232,419 bytes SHA-256 9f57947a5bd530d8f00c5b3f2cb2a3492faa7e5d823315342d6a8656d0a6b7b7 It is FFmpeg 5.1.4 compiled to WebAssembly with Emscripten 3.1.40 together with the libraries listed in section 3. When you make a reel, your browser loads this engine into a separate worker and uses it only to join and encode your video on your own device. It is a separate program from the rest of QikTools, which talks to it only by passing messages. We have not changed it. 2. LICENCE ---------- The engine as a whole is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or (at your option) any later version (SPDX: GPL-2.0-or-later), as stated in the package. The full text of version 2 is in the file LICENSE-GPL-2.0.txt in this folder (and at https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html). It applies because FFmpeg was built with its GPL parts switched on (--enable-gpl) and with the GPL-licensed encoders x264 and x265. Each component keeps its own copyright and licence, listed below. This program comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law; see the licence. 3. THE EXACT SOURCE OF THIS BUILD --------------------------------- Build recipe (Dockerfile, build scripts and bindings; the ffmpeg.wasm project's own code is under the MIT licence): https://github.com/ffmpegwasm/ffmpeg.wasm commit 21b90a8d099719b8d91d9e5776314b236f2f5f80 ("RELEASE: v12.13 (main) | v12.9 (core/core-mt) | v12.4 (types)", 6 January 2025, 22:52 UTC - the commit that published @ffmpeg/core 0.12.9). The build runs in the Docker image emscripten/emsdk:3.1.40. Components, at the versions that Dockerfile fetches. After each address: the tag or branch it names, and the commit that tag or branch points to. (The branches of x264, x265 and LAME last changed in 2022, 2020 and 2020, long before this build, so their commits are the ones that were built.) OUR OFFER OF THE SOURCE CODE (GPL version 2, section 3(b)) ------------------------------------------------------------- For at least three years, and for as long as we offer this engine for download, we will give anyone a complete copy of the corresponding source code for no more than the cost of physically providing it. The copy will be of the sources listed in section 3, in machine-readable form, on a medium customarily used for software interchange. Write to hello@qiktools.com.
