QikTools brings together AI models from several companies, for video, images, voice, music and text, with our own software that plans, edits and checks their work. We choose models for quality, safety and price, tell you the price before you run anything, and let you pick the model where a tool offers a choice. The models are listed on the AI Models & Providers page.
We use AI to the best of our knowledge and ability, but models make mistakes. They can state wrong facts, misspell words, get hands or faces wrong, miss parts of your instructions, or produce something similar to existing work. Always review results before you rely on them or publish them.
Whatever you create or upload with QikTools, whether for yourself, your team, your company, a client or anyone else, you must use it in a permissible way: lawfully, honestly, with the rights and consents you need, and in line with this policy, our Terms of Service and the rules of every platform where you publish it.
This policy is part of our Terms. It applies to everything done through your account, your team and your API keys, and it includes the rules of the companies whose models you use.
You must not use QikTools to create, upload, edit, store, share or publish any of the following. The list follows the content India’s IT Rules 2021 prohibit (rule 3(1)(b)) and the synthetic-media rules added in 2026 (rule 3(3)), plus our own rules.
Children and sexual content
- Child sexual abuse material, or anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child. We report it to the authorities.
- Sexual, nude or intimate imagery of a real, identifiable person, including “nudified”, undressed or morphed images, whether or not they consented to the original.
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content of any kind, and content that is obscene or invasive of someone’s bodily privacy.
- Content of any kind that is harmful to children.
Deception, impersonation and false documents
- Content that falsely depicts a real person or a real event in a way likely to deceive, such as fake news footage, fabricated statements or staged “evidence”.
- Impersonating any person, brand or organisation, or making it look as if someone said, did or endorsed something they didn’t. This includes any real public figure (see Public figures and impersonation).
- False documents or records: identity cards, passports, Aadhaar, PAN or other government documents, currency, certificates, stamps, seals, signatures, invoices, receipts, bank statements, medical or legal records, or official letters.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, fake reviews or testimonials, and advertising that deceives or misleads.
- Information you know to be false and misleading, presented as fact, or content that deceives people about where a message comes from.
- Passing off AI-generated content as real or human-made in order to deceive, or removing or hiding its AI labels (see AI labels and disclosure).
Harm, hate and violence
- Content that threatens, harasses, bullies or intimidates, or that insults or harasses anyone on the basis of gender.
- Content that is racially or ethnically objectionable, or that promotes enmity between groups on grounds of religion, caste or similar grounds with intent to incite violence.
- Content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm or suicide.
- Instructions for making or obtaining weapons, ammunition or explosives, or other serious harm.
- Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries or public order; that incites an offence or obstructs an investigation; or that insults another nation.
- Content that relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, including promoting online money games that Indian law prohibits.
Other people’s rights
- Content that belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use.
- Infringing copyright, trademarks, patents, designs or personality and publicity rights, for example copying a protected character or logo, or someone’s voice or likeness, without permission.
- Invading privacy: covert recordings, doxxing, stalking, or identifying people from their face or voice.
- Any practice the EU AI Act prohibits, such as manipulating people in harmful ways, social scoring, or inferring sensitive traits from someone’s face or voice.
The Service itself
- Malware, or code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functioning of any computer resource.
- Spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
- Bypassing or testing our credits, limits or safety systems (for example “jailbreak” prompts), scraping, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, reselling access, or creating accounts to collect extra free credits.
- Anything else that breaks a law in force where you are, where it is published, or in India.
Talking presenters, voice cloning, dubbing, translation in the speaker’s voice, custom models of a person and face tools are powerful. Use them only with your own face or voice, or with the express, informed, written consent of the person shown or heard, covering what you’ll do with the result.
- QikTools asks you to confirm this each time. Your confirmation is recorded as evidence. Keep the written consent for six years after your last use of that face or voice, and send it to us within 7 days if we ask.
- Where a picture can just as well show a product, a place or artwork, you can mark it “No real person in it” instead. That choice is recorded as evidence too, and marking a picture that shows a real person that way breaks this policy.
- A voice you save for reuse goes into the Voice Rights Vault only after its owner records a spoken consent; the owner can pause or revoke it at any time. Dubbing and video translation in the speaker’s own voice need your confirmation, each time, that the voice is yours or that you hold the speaker’s written consent.
- Never use the face or voice of anyone under 18 in realistic images, video or audio. Where a tool offers it, a child’s parent or guardian, or someone with the guardian’s permission, may turn the child’s photo into an illustration (for example a storybook character), confirming this each time. Children must never be shown in a sexual, violent or otherwise harmful way.
- Pictures of real people can’t be used in the AI Explainer Video Maker: we check each picture you add and refuse one with a person in it, and AI motion animates only pictures the tool drew itself.
- Don’t clone or imitate a voice to deceive anyone, including family, colleagues or customers.
- For a person who has died, you need the permission of whoever controls their estate or personality rights, and you must follow the law where you publish.
QikTools doesn’t depict, voice or impersonate public figures.
You must not use QikTools to depict, voice or impersonate any real public figure, such as politicians, officials, film and music stars, athletes, influencers or business leaders. That includes requests to make them say or do something, and requests “in the voice of” or “in the style of” a named person. This applies even if you mean it as parody or tribute.
Our systems check requests against a list of public figures’ names and refuse matching requests before they run. Indian courts have restrained AI tools that let people copy a celebrity’s voice or likeness without permission, and we don’t offer that.
When you use a provider’s model through QikTools, that provider’s usage policy applies to your request as well as this policy. Their main rules are below, grouped by topic and naming the providers they come from. Many repeat our own rules above. Where two rules differ, follow the stricter one.
Some providers’ rules are stricter than ours, and requests to their models must follow them too — for example, one video provider doesn’t accept underwear, lingerie or swimwear scenes, work in the style of a named living artist or studio, well-known characters, or children shown with anything suggestive, violent or dangerous, and its presenters can’t be aimed at children. We check these before a request is sent; such a request can usually run on another provider’s model.
Political campaigns. Several of our providers don’t allow their models to be used for political campaigning, so QikTools doesn’t either: don’t use it to make content for or against a candidate, party or ballot measure, political ads, or material meant to influence how people vote. Neutral news-style explainers and civic information (for example how and where to vote) are fine.

Breaking a provider’s rules breaks this policy. We may also have to stop your access to that provider’s models, and we will when the provider requires it. Every provider and model is listed on the AI Models & Providers page.
QikTools labels realistic images and videos with a visible “AI-generated” mark. Audio in a cloned voice, and AI speech delivered as audio (for example from AI Voice Studio), starts with a short spoken disclosure; videos with AI speech carry the visible label. A Movie Director film with a line in a Voice Vault voice also starts with a short spoken notice that it uses AI-generated voices, in the film’s language (or in English if it is in a language we have no recording for); we add it to every export and cloud render of that film. QikTools also embeds metadata and content credentials in the files it makes. The AI Labels & Content Credentials page explains how.
- Never remove, crop out, blur, cover, alter or hide an AI label, watermark, metadata or content credential, whether ours or an AI provider’s, and don’t ask anyone or any tool to do so.
- Never remove or defeat AI labels, metadata or marks — including the machine-readable AI mark on text — or use or promote tools made to do so.
- When you publish realistic AI content, disclose it. Switch on the platform’s “made with AI” label where one exists, and say so clearly when realistic people, voices or events are AI-generated or altered.
- In the European Union, the AI Act requires people who publish deepfakes, or AI-generated text meant to inform the public on matters of public interest, to disclose that it is AI-generated, subject to limited exceptions. Advertising rules in many countries require the same.
QikTools isn’t designed for decisions about people’s health, legal status, credit, employment, housing, education or safety. Outputs such as plain-English legal summaries, formulas, figures or health information are aids, not advice. Have a qualified person check anything important before you rely on it.
- These rules apply to every request, whether it comes from the app, an automation or the developer API.
- If you build QikTools into your own product, you must stop your users from breaking these rules, tell them when content (including a voice) is AI-generated, and keep our labels and metadata intact.
- Don’t use the API to offer a service that helps people get around these rules.
Automated checks review requests before they run and may refuse them, and our AI providers apply their own safety systems. We may review content that is reported to us or flagged. An attempt to create sexual content involving a child, or sexual or intimate imagery of a real person, pauses the account automatically until a person reviews it. Every other suspension, and every closure, is decided by a person.
- If content breaks this policy, we may refuse the request, remove or disable the content, limit features, and suspend or close the account. When our own checks refuse a request, no credits are taken. If an AI provider’s safety system refuses a run that passed our checks and the provider charges us for it, the credits shown are charged, as our Terms explain. Repeated attempts to get around safety systems can lead to suspension.
- Accounts used for child sexual abuse material, intimate imagery of a real person, or fraud and impersonation are closed immediately. Other breaches count as strikes, and three strikes within 12 months close the account. The Report & Takedown Policy explains how this works.
- We tell you what we did and why, and you can appeal.
- Where the law requires or someone is at risk, we report content to the authorities and preserve the records, with a copy of the content where we hold one (never child sexual abuse material, which we report instead), for at least 180 days. Misuse can also lead to penalties under the law, for example under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
If you see content made with QikTools that breaks these rules, especially content that shows you without your consent, use the report form. You don’t need an account. We disable intimate or morphed imagery of a person everywhere on QikTools as soon as it is reported (within 2 hours if a report needs checking first), delete the copy we store, ask our AI provider to delete any copy it holds, and review it within 2 hours. You can also write to our Grievance Officer at hello@qiktools.com.
