AI Movie Director is an AI film maker that plans, renders and edits a film scene by scene, with characters and places locked so faces and settings stay the same from shot to shot. Let the Agent plan a timeline from your idea or build it yourself, pick the video model for each scene, add dialogue, sound and music, and export the finished film.

How to use AI Movie Director
Full step-by-step guideStep 1: Start a project
Under “What do you want to create?”, choose “Agent” and describe your story, then pick a “Film length”, “Visual style” and “Frame shape” and press “Generate Timeline” (its price is shown). Or choose “Editor” and “Create Project” for a blank timeline.
Step 2: Lock your cast and places
In the side panel's “Add” tab, under “Cast” and “Places”, generate each character's portrait and each place's picture in the film's style, or upload one. For an uploaded photo you say who's in it (“Me”, “Someone else” or “No real person”). “Character sheet” adds extra angles.
Step 3: Shape each scene
Open a scene from “Scenes” in the “Add” tab, or click its clip on the timeline: its settings open in the “Edit” tab. Describe the shot, add a spoken line or voiceover to lip-sync and a camera move, choose who's in it and where, and set looks such as a different outfit.
Step 4: Pick a model and render
Under “Model”, new scenes start on “Auto (best value)”: it picks the model that makes the shot well for the fewest credits while keeping your locked characters' look, from the length, shape, sound and quality you set. Or choose any model and its “Length”, “Resolution”, “Frame shape” and “Native sound”. The button shows the scene's price; press “Render”, or use “Render all” in “Film settings”.
Step 5: Export your film
“Export” renders the film in your browser for free and downloads it. For long films, “Render in the cloud” keeps going if you close the page; the finished film stays available for 7 days to download or save.

Planning is priced by film length, each portrait or place picture has a price, and each scene is priced per second by the model, resolution and sound you pick. The browser export is free; a cloud render is priced by the film's length.
Every price is shown on the button before anything runs, and every plan pays the same number of credits for a run. If a run fails on our side, its credits go back automatically.
AI Movie Director: questions and answers
How do I keep a character looking the same?
Lock them in “Cast” with a clear portrait and a description, add a character sheet for extra angles, and keep one model per sequence. Looks change clothes without changing the face.
Should I export or render in the cloud?
“Export” works in your browser and is free, with every edit included. “Render in the cloud” suits long films: it carries on if you close the page, and its exact price is shown first.
Can I make a longer film?
Yes. Plan a length up front, then use “Continue the story” to add chapters.
Can I make one shot longer without a cut?
Yes, for a finished MiniMax H3 shot with no voice in it: “Make this shot longer” continues it by 1–15 seconds with the same people, place and light. It’s billed per added second and refunded if it fails. For another spoken line, add a new shot.

Are videos made with AI Movie Director labelled as AI?
Yes. Every video AI Movie Director makes carries a visible “AI-generated” label and signed Content Credentials that anyone can check on the verification page. Removing the label or the credentials isn't allowed.
What happens to my credits if a run fails in AI Movie Director?
They go back automatically. The one exception: if a request passes our safety checks but the AI provider's own safety system refuses it and charges us for the attempt, the credits for that run are kept (Terms).
Who owns what I make with AI Movie Director, and what happens to my data?
You own your inputs and, as far as the law and our AI providers' terms allow, what you create, including for commercial use. QikTools doesn't sell your data or train AI models on your content; some AI providers' own terms let them use what they receive (Privacy Policy). Settings → Profile has Download my data and Delete account, which removes your account, projects and uploads.
