Use the report form. Anyone can use it, with or without a QikTools account. Choose what best describes the problem:
- intimate, nude or morphed imagery of a real person;
- an impersonation or deepfake of you or someone you represent;
- child sexual abuse material;
- copyright or trademark infringement;
- fraud or a scam;
- something else that breaks the law or our AI & Acceptable Use Policy.
Include links, file IDs or a description of the content, why it is unlawful or harmful, and an email address where we can reach you. If the form doesn’t work for you, email the Grievance Officer at hello@qiktools.com.
Child sexual abuse material
Report it to us and to the police, for example at cybercrime.gov.in. Don’t download, copy or forward it, even as evidence. Send us the link or a description instead.
- We acknowledge every report within 24 hours.
- Intimate imagery and child sexual abuse material: we disable the reported file everywhere on QikTools as soon as your report arrives — or within 2 hours if a report needs checking first, for example one sent without an account that didn’t pass our spam check — and a person reviews it within 2 hours. We delete the copy we store and ask our AI provider to delete any copy it holds; a file on our provider’s network can’t always be deleted at once, and until it is, it stays blocked everywhere on QikTools.
- Other unlawful content: we decide and act within 36 hours.
- Every report is resolved within 7 days, and we tell you what we decided.
- We tell the person whose content was affected what we did and why, unless the law or someone’s safety stops us.

A copyright or trademark notice should include:
- the work or mark you say is infringed;
- where the infringing content is (a link or file ID), with enough detail for us to find it;
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
- India. For a notice under section 52(1)(c) of the Copyright Act, 1957 and rule 75 of the Copyright Rules, 2013, we disable access for 21 days. If you don’t send us an order from a competent court within that time, we may restore the content.
- United States. Our designated agent for notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is Sarthak Daruka, hello@qiktools.com, Asansol, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, India.
- Counter-notice. If your content was removed after a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake, reply to our message with: the content that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, if you live outside the United States, any judicial district where QikTools may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. Unless the person who sent the notice tells us within 10 to 14 working days that they have gone to court, we may restore the content.
Sending a notice or counter-notice you know to be false can make you liable for damages.
When we remove or disable content, or restrict, suspend or close an account, we tell the person affected, by email or in the app:
- what we did, and how far it goes (one file, a feature, or the whole account, and for how long);
- the facts that led to it, including whether it followed a report and whether automated tools were involved in finding or deciding it;
- which law or which rule in our policies was broken;
- how to appeal.
We may hold back details where the law or a court order requires it, or where sharing them would put someone at risk or harm an investigation.
- If you disagree with a decision, reply to our message or write to the Grievance Officer at hello@qiktools.com within 6 months. A person reviews every appeal and decides within 7 days.
- If we got it wrong, we restore the content or the account and remove any strike.
- In India, you can also appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days of our decision, at gac.gov.in. You can always go to court.
Immediate closure. We close an account straight away, without strikes, if it is used to create or share child sexual abuse material, intimate imagery of a real person, or content for fraud or impersonation, or to get around an earlier closure. People whose account was closed may not open a new one.
Three strikes. Other breaches of our policies, including valid copyright or trademark notices, each count as a strike. A strike lasts 12 months. Three strikes within 12 months close the account. Before that we may also limit features, for example switching off tools that use real faces or voices.
- We preserve the records of removed content — what it was, where it was, which account made it and our decision — for at least 180 days, as India’s IT Rules require, with a copy of the content where we hold one (never child sexual abuse material, which we report instead), or longer if a court or authority asks us to. Report case files are kept for 6 years after the report is resolved (7 years after it was made, if it is never resolved) in case of legal claims.
- Where the law requires or allows it, we disclose information about the person responsible, including their identity, to the police, a court, a government authority or the person harmed.
- We report offences we must report, for example child sexual abuse material under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
Please report in good faith. If someone repeatedly sends reports that are clearly unfounded, we may stop processing their reports for a time, after warning them. Knowingly false reports can have legal consequences.
