Frequently asked questions
Getting started
What is QikTools?+
QikTools is an AI studio for everything a brand makes — films and product ads, talking presenters, images and designs, voiceovers and music, writing, and a month of social posts — all paid from one credit balance. Browse everything on the tools page.
Is there a guide for each tool?+
Yes. How to use QikTools has a step-by-step guide for every tool — what it makes, the steps from start to download, tips and how pricing works — plus guides to the Brand Vault, credits, your Library, social scheduling, teams, Content Credentials and safety. Every tool page has a How to use button that opens its guide.
How do credits work?+
Every run costs a set number of credits, and the exact price is shown on the button before you start. If a run fails — the AI provider errors, our safety checks stop it or it times out — the credits go straight back automatically. The one exception: if an AI provider's own safety system refuses a request that passed our checks and charges us for it, the credits shown are charged (Terms). See every charge and refund in your usage report.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. New accounts get 10 free credits, valid for 7 days, with no card needed — once per person. That's enough to try images, voice and writing tools. Most video needs more credits than the trial includes — pick a plan or top up.
Which AI models do you use?+
You choose. The video studios offer Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Kling 3.0, Kling O3, Kling O1, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, FLUX 3, Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast, Veo 3.1 Lite, Wan 3, MiniMax H3, Gen-4.5 and Gen-4 Turbo, and the image tools offer Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5, Seedream 5 Pro, Ideogram 3.0, Recraft V3, Gen-4 Image and FLUX.1 [schnell]; voice runs on expressive and standard voice engines. Where a tool lets you pick a model, it shows the model and the price before you start, and you pay for exactly the model you pick. Every model and who makes it is listed on AI Models & Providers; QikTools is independent and isn't affiliated with these companies.
What does Auto (best value) do?+
Where a tool offers a choice of models, Auto (best value) is the default: it reads the job — picture or video, words in the image, a product, realistic people, the shape, size, length, sound and your reference pictures — and picks the model that does that job well for the fewest credits. It names the model, says why and shows the price before you run, and the price is checked again when you do (if anything changed, nothing is charged and you see the new choice). It follows simple rules, not a hidden AI, so the same request gets the same choice. It never drops your pictures, never makes a result smaller or reframes it, never picks a model whose maker turns down realistic faces for a realistic person, and never changes what consent a run needs. Every exact model stays one click away, and projects remember your choice. Optional: Top quality or Draft, keep one model for a project, and Only providers that don't train on my content. The model that made each result is named with it and in its Content Credentials.
Which video model should I use for realistic people who talk?+
For realistic people who talk — their own sound and spoken dialogue in one clip — use Veo 3.1 or Kling O3, or for less Kling 3.0, Gemini Omni Flash 1.1, FLUX 3, Veo 3.1 Fast, Veo 3.1 Lite, Wan 3 or MiniMax H3. Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini are for stylised, animated and 3D characters and for places: their makers' content rules turn realistic faces down, sometimes without warning, so a realistic look is greyed out for them and we never send a realistic person to them. Auto (best value) follows the same rule, and each model's card says what it can do.
What is the Brand Vault?+
Save your brand once — name, logo, colours, fonts, tone of voice and words to avoid — in the Brand Vault, and tools can apply it to every script, caption and image automatically. You can switch it off for any single run.
How do I set up my Brand Vault well?+
Follow the Brand Vault guide: it walks through every section — basics, colours and fonts, voice, audience, products, channels, Guardian rules and assets — explains exactly what the brand switch adds to a generation, and how to share your brand with your team.
Where are all my files?+
In the Asset Brain: everything you make on QikTools, and anything you upload, in one searchable library. Search by what's in a picture or video, group files into collections, record usage rights, send work for review and share it with a link (with an end date, a password or a watermark). Files stay where the tool saved them — press "Keep a copy" (or "Save to Library" on a result) to store one in your own space, up to your plan's allowance, so it outlives the original link — our AI providers delete theirs after about 7 days.
How long are my results kept, and what is "Save to Library"?+
Our AI and media providers keep a file they made for about 7 days, so every result shows Kept for 7 days. Press Save to Library and we keep our own copy in your private storage until you delete it — it counts against your plan's Library storage (Library → Library storage shows how much you have used). Unless you switch it off there, we also make that copy for you when you download a result, share it by link, or finish a campaign with it. Storage differs by plan and a team shares one allowance; when it is nearly full automatic copies pause, and when it is full nothing more is added — we never delete your saved files because it is full. Free up space in your Library lists your biggest files so you can choose what to remove. A file that has already expired can't be saved (nothing is charged) — make it again.
Plans & billing
How much does QikTools cost?+
Plans: Lite $10/mo (400 credits a month), Starter $20/mo (800 credits a month), Pro $49/mo (2,200 credits a month), Studio $99/mo (5,000 credits a month). Teams from $149/month for 2 seats and 7,500 shared credits, plus $45 and 2,400 credits for each extra seat. Every tool costs the same number of credits on every plan. Prices are in US dollars; any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies is added at checkout. Details on the pricing page.
Do unused credits roll over?+
Yes — while your plan stays active, up to 1,000 unused credits (400 on Lite) carry into the next month on top of the new month's credits. Unused plan credits end when a plan ends. Credits you buy as a top-up never expire while your account is open.
Can I pay yearly?+
Yes: Lite $90 a year, Starter $199 a year, Pro $499 a year, Studio $999 a year — save up to 25% per credit compared with paying monthly. Credits still arrive every month, not all at once: Lite, Starter and Pro annual deliver the same credits as the monthly plans; Studio annual delivers 4,500 a month (54,000 a year, our lowest price per credit). See the pricing page.
Can I buy extra credits?+
Yes — top up anywhere from 500 to 10,000 credits on the pricing page. Credits you buy never expire while your account is open, and your plan's credits are used first. Prices are in US dollars; any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies is added at checkout.
How do I cancel my plan?+
Go to Settings → Subscription and choose Cancel plan. Your plan stays valid until the end of the period you've paid for — you keep its features and credits until then — and you won't be charged again.
Can I get a refund?+
Payments are final once made, including when you cancel a plan later in the period: cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan runs to the end of what you paid for. We always refund charges made in error (like a duplicate payment), a service we couldn't deliver, and where the law gives you a refund. Failed runs are refunded in credits automatically, except a provider-charged safety refusal (details). A run that stops before it finishes, say because our servers restart, is refunded automatically too, usually within about 20 minutes. If the exact same paid request reaches us twice within a few seconds, the second copy isn't charged; with the Developer API, send an Idempotency-Key so a retry is never charged twice. Read the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Can my team share credits?+
Yes. Teams from $149/month for 2 seats and 7,500 shared credits, plus $45 and 2,400 credits for each extra seat. Team top-ups cost $0.0185 a credit. Owners can set a monthly spending limit per member in Team.
Creating
Can I make a whole movie?+
Yes. Movie Director turns a script into scenes with locked characters so faces stay the same from shot to shot, lets you pick the video model for each scene, and joins the scenes into one film with dialogue, narration, sound effects and music. Short films export right in your browser; longer ones use Render in the cloud (from 2 credits, priced by length before you start) — it keeps going if you close the page, and the finished film stays available for 7 days to download or save. Every film carries the AI-generated label.
Can I make a vertical drama series with the same characters in every episode?+
Yes. The AI Micro-Drama Series Maker plans a whole season of 9:16 micro-drama episodes (60–120 seconds) from a series bible: locked characters, looks and places reused in every episode, outlines with a 3-second hook and a cliffhanger, and a shot list for each episode. Every shot goes to the video model that suits it — change any of them — and each episode is a Movie Director project you can open and edit. Production shows the price of each episode and of the whole season under Draft, Standard and Premium before anything renders.
How is a series priced?+
Per step, with every price on its button first: season outlines 6 credits a batch, each episode's shot list 5 credits, subtitles 1 credit per episode and language. Characters, places, the theme and covers cost what they cost in the Movie Director, and each shot is priced by its video model, length and resolution. Render a few episodes in Draft first, then upgrade the ones that work.
Can I subtitle or dub my series in other languages?+
Yes — in 17 languages. In the AI Micro-Drama Series Maker's Localise tab, translate each episode's subtitles (SRT and VTT files) and add a voice dub: new voices speak the translated lines over the episode's own music and sound, priced by its length (the lips don't move to the new language). For a lip-synced dub — matched voices or the characters' own — send episodes up to 10 minutes to the AI Video Translator.
How long a video can the AI Video Translator take?+
Up to 10 minutes, in up to 10 languages at once — each language is its own price, shown before you start. Long videos are split at natural pauses in your browser and joined back into one video. Open the AI Video Translator.
How much does translating a video cost?+
A video of up to a minute costs about 6 credits voice only, 41 with Standard lip-sync, 93 with Premium or 261 with Close-up. Longer videos average about 7 credits a minute voice only (3 for each more language) and 45, 103 or 268 a minute with lip-sync. Subtitle files are included, and the exact price of each language shows before you start. Open the AI Video Translator.
Can I keep brand names exact when translating a video?+
Yes, in both modes. Your Brand Vault's brand and product names, plus any terms you add to the glossary, are never translated (or always use a fixed translation you set) — and with Review script you can edit every line before it's voiced.
What happens to the video I upload for translation?+
It's deleted from our storage when everything you started from it has finished, or after a day if you start nothing; our daily clean-up removes anything left over once it's over 24 hours old. Finished translations stay in your history until you delete them (Delete on a translation removes its video link, subtitles and text at once); more languages can be added from the same upload for about 7 days.
Can I dub every new video on my channel automatically?+
Yes — with Video Dubbing Autopilot. Connect your channel and dub any upload from its captions into up to 10 languages, in a Standard stock voice or your own Voice Vault voice: a voice track exactly the video's length and subtitle files for each language, ready to add in YouTube Studio. Switch on Autopilot and every new upload waits for your approval — or runs on its own within your monthly budget and limit per video. Prices: from 3 credits · about 19 per language for 10 minutes from captions · video files priced by the AI Video Translator. How to use it
Do you download videos from YouTube links?+
No. Paste a YouTube link into Video Dubbing Autopilot and you'll see the options that keep you within YouTube's rules: connect your channel to dub the video from its captions, or download the file from YouTube Studio (Content → ⋮ → Download) and upload it to dub it with lip-sync and, where voice cloning is on and your consent covers it, the speakers' own voices. Direct links to video files you control, Google Drive and Dropbox work as they are.
How do I make a talking presenter video?+
Open the AI Talking Avatar Generator, upload a clear photo (or generate one), then type a script or record your own voice. The price follows the length of the speech and is shown before you render.
How do I make UGC-style video ads with AI creators?+
Open the AI UGC Ad Generator: add your product (paste its page or fill it in), pick AI creators, write hooks and scripts with proven frameworks, then choose frame shapes and render a batch. The full price is shown, itemised, before anything renders — test hooks as cheap drafts, then upgrade the winners to final without paying for the presenter again.
Why won't my AI creator say they've used the product?+
AI creators are fictional people, and US rules ban testimonials from people who don't exist or didn't have the experience. So the claim check stops an AI creator saying “I've been using this” or sharing personal results — scripts show and explain the product instead, and reviews are quoted as what customers say. The claim check also blocks common forms of medical, legal and financial advice, and the script writer is told never to give it.
Can I close the tab while my creator ads render?+
Yes. Each ad renders in the background and appears in the project's “Your ads”, labelled as AI-generated with Content Credentials and caption files. If part of an ad can't be made, that part is refunded automatically — unless the video provider's own safety filter refused it and charged us, as our Terms explain.
Can QikTools make my pictures and videos accessible?+
Yes. Accessibility Studio writes alt text for single pictures or whole batches (up to 5 languages, with long descriptions for charts), captions and transcripts you can edit (SRT, WebVTT, Word, PDF, burned in, or translated), and audio description: it finds the pauses in the dialogue, writes descriptions that fit, lets you review every line, then voices and mixes them — a described video, a video with a selectable description track, the track alone, a WebVTT descriptions file and an optional extended version. It also checks videos for flashing (WCAG 2.3.1), colours for contrast and text for reading level, and generates an accessibility statement. AI can be wrong, so you review everything before you publish.
How is the Accessibility Studio priced?+
Per step, with the price shown before anything runs: alt text from 1 credit a picture · captions about 0.7 credits a minute · audio description about 5 credits a minute · checks and statements free. Audio description is two steps — the script by the video's length, then the voicing by the script's length (lines you've voiced before are reused free). The caption editor and burned-in captions are free too, and anything that fails is refunded automatically.
Can QikTools fix the accessibility of my whole website?+
For its pictures and videos, yes — Accessibility Autopilot scans a website you've proved is yours (meta tag, file or DNS record), lists every picture without alt text and every video without captions or audio description, checks flashing, colour pairs and page basics against WCAG 2.1/2.2, and fixes them at the source: AI alt text in bulk (reviewed by you), captions, transcripts and audio description, an accessibility statement and a fix list for your developer, downloaded in files your CMS takes. Monitoring re-checks new content on a schedule within your budget. It isn't an overlay, and no tool makes a website compliant on its own. Pricing: scans from 1 credit · alt text about 14 credits per 100 pictures · captions from 2 credits a video · monitoring from 4 credits a month. How to use it
What does the Accessibility Autopilot crawler do on my site?+
It only scans websites their owners have verified. It reads public pages one at a time, at least a second apart (longer if your robots.txt asks), identifies itself as QikToolsAccessibilityBot, never signs in or fills in forms, and slows down or stops when a site says it's busy. To keep it out of part of a site, add rules for User-agent: QikToolsAccessibilityBot to robots.txt.
Why do my audio-description videos show an AI label?+
The descriptions are spoken by an AI voice, and India's 2026 IT Rules ask for AI speech to be disclosed. So the videos carry a small “AI-generated” label, the description track on its own starts with a short spoken notice, and every file carries Content Credentials. The script also opens with a line saying the description is voiced by AI — you can reword it.
Is QikTools itself accessible?+
We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA. Our accessibility statement lists what we've done, what still falls short and how to report a barrier — we reply within 5 working days.
Can I turn a document into a training course?+
Yes. Open the AI Training Video Studio, pick a template (onboarding, compliance, product, sales, safety, SOPs and more) and upload a PDF, Word file or PowerPoint — or paste text, read a web page or just describe the topic. The course architect plans modules, lessons and scenes for you to edit, then writes the slides, narration and knowledge checks. Every step shows its price before it runs. How to use it
Can I export my course to my LMS?+
Yes — free. The Training Studio exports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 (4th Edition) and xAPI (Tin Can) packages that report completion, pass/fail, score and progress, plus a stand-alone web player, the lesson videos as MP4s with VTT and SRT captions, a transcript, a handout PDF and the quiz bank (CSV or JSON). Preview the course as a learner before you export.
How is the AI Training Video Studio priced?+
Per step, shown before anything runs: course plan from 3 credits · about 61 credits for a 10-minute lesson with 2 minutes of presenter · SCORM, xAPI and video exports free. Planning, writing, quiz questions and translation are priced by how much text is read; rendering a lesson is itemised (narration by length and voice, presenter scenes by length, the video by its running time). Changed a lesson? Render it again within three days and unchanged narration and presenter clips are reused free; anything that fails is refunded automatically, except a presenter scene the video provider refuses under its own safety rules and charges us for (Terms).
Can I turn my webinars or recordings into an online course?+
Yes — the Course Factory turns your own webinars, recorded talks, podcasts, documents, slide decks, web pages and notes into a finished course. Every lesson and scene cites the passage of your material it comes from (anything missing is flagged, never invented); you get lesson scripts and slides, knowledge checks, a graded final assessment and your certificate, narrated lesson videos with captions, translations, SCORM, xAPI and MP4 exports, an accessibility pack and a launch kit with a sales page, emails, social posts and promo shorts. How to use it
How is the Course Factory priced?+
Per step, shown before anything runs — a 30-minute course about 174 credits all-in, a 60-minute course about 334 · each step priced before it runs · SCORM, xAPI and video exports free. Transcription is priced by a recording's length, planning by how much material is read, each lesson by its passages; lesson videos, translations and AI pictures use the AI Training Video Studio's own prices. It needs no extra subscription and takes no share of your course sales; documents and notes are free to add, and anything that fails is refunded automatically.
Why do my training videos show an AI label?+
Lessons with AI narration or an AI presenter are synthetic media, so they carry a small “AI-generated” label and Content Credentials (India's 2026 IT Rules, and the EU AI Act's disclosure rule for organisations that publish them). The course player also has an AI disclosure note. Keep them in place when you publish the course.
Can I plan a month of social posts?+
Yes. Plan my month writes a full content calendar for your brand, and the AI Content Repurposer's “Social posts” turns one video, article or a few lines of notes into a post for every platform — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, LinkedIn and Facebook — saved to your Social Library. Scheduled posts live in your Social calendar.
Can QikTools draft my social posts automatically every week or month?+
Yes — Content Autopilot (the Autopilot tab in the Social Media Planner) runs Plan my month for you on a schedule: weekly, or 30 days at a time. It drafts the next period's posts, can make pictures and run Brand Guardian, and puts every draft in your Social Library and calendar as “Waiting for approval”. Each batch costs what Plan my month costs, plus pictures and checks if you switch them on, within the budgets you set.
Will Autopilot post anything without me?+
No. Nothing is scheduled until you approve it, unless you switch on auto-schedule for a network — and even then only posts that pass the full Brand Guardian review go ahead on their own. Scheduling only starts the usual reminder emails; QikTools never posts to your accounts for you. Posts nobody approves before their time simply aren't posted.
How do I stop Autopilot or control what it spends?+
Pause, edit or delete it any time from the Autopilot tab. Set a budget per batch and per month — a batch that would go over is skipped and you're told, and it never spends credits you don't have. It also pauses itself if two batches in a row go unreviewed. Anything paid for but not delivered is refunded.
Can I turn one video or podcast into a blog post, a newsletter and social posts?+
Yes — the AI Content Repurposer turns one recording (up to two hours), article or set of notes into a whole pack from a single transcript: short vertical clips with captions, an SEO blog article with an FAQ and meta tags, a newsletter, a post each for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, LinkedIn and Facebook, LinkedIn posts, an X thread, a carousel, a YouTube description with chapters and tags, quote cards and show notes. Each piece is priced before you start (pieces from 1 credit each · transcribing a recording about 44 credits an hour), written from what you actually said, and editable — regenerate any piece on its own. How to use it
Can the Repurposer draft packs automatically?+
Yes — switch on Autopilot in the AI Content Repurposer. Every recording you drop into its inbox, or every new episode of your own podcast feed, becomes a pack with your saved recipe, within a monthly budget and a limit per pack. To connect a feed, we email a code to the owner address the feed lists. Autopilot only drafts: nothing is published or scheduled until you review it.
Can I repurpose someone else's video, or a YouTube link?+
Only content you own or have permission to use — you confirm that for every pack. We don't download videos from YouTube or other platforms; for your own YouTube video, paste the transcript from YouTube's “Show transcript” panel, or upload the recording. The writers only use what your source says, and a claim check flags numbers, reviews or endorsements it didn't mention.
Can QikTools help me sell my product in other countries and on other marketplaces?+
Yes — the Global Launch Kit turns one product into a launch for each country, language and marketplace you choose (Amazon stores, Etsy, Shopify, Flipkart, Meesho, Google Merchant Center, Meta catalogues): native listings held to each marketplace's limits and rules, a main image from your real photo on pure white, AI lifestyle photos, an infographic with typed local-language text, keyword ideas, a claims check per country, video ads and ready-to-upload packs. Priced per market before anything runs (about 16 credits per product and market with 2 lifestyle photos · a listing with its claims check from 3 · main image & infographic free). How to use it
Will my main listing image be AI-generated?+
No. In the Global Launch Kit the main image is always your own photo with its background removed and placed on pure white, because Amazon, Etsy, Flipkart and Google require a real photo of the actual product first. Only lifestyle photos are AI-made; they carry AI metadata and Content Credentials, and stay out of Etsy packs unless you switch them on for a personalised or print-on-demand item.
Can QikTools write my Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho listings from my product photos?+
Yes — the Marketplace Listing Engine turns at least three of your own phone photos and a few facts into listings for Amazon (India and abroad), Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, Etsy, your Shopify store and eBay, each in the marketplace's exact fields and limits, with optional Hindi and regional-language versions, compliant main images from your real photo, AI lifestyle and in-hand pictures, an infographic, a size chart, a short video, India's mandatory declarations and upload files. Every request is priced before it runs (a listing with its claims check from 2 credits · about 26 credits for a two-marketplace kit with AI pictures · infographic, size chart, video and every export free). How to use it
Does the Marketplace Listing Engine add the MRP and other Legal Metrology declarations?+
Yes. You enter the manufacturer (and packer or importer), country of origin, generic name, net quantity, MRP inclusive of all taxes and consumer-care details once — or read them from a photo of your label — and they're copied exactly into every Indian listing and upload sheet, with the unit sale price worked out for you. An Indian marketplace's export stays locked until they're complete. It's guidance to help you, not legal advice.
Can QikTools market a property listing — photos, video and description?+
Yes — the Real Estate Listing Studio turns your own listing photos and the property's facts into enhanced photos, labelled virtual staging, sky and day-to-dusk edits (each kept beside its original), an illustrative floor plan, a narrated walkthrough and vertical reels, portal-ready descriptions for US MLSs and UK, Indian and UAE portals with a fair-housing check, social posts, an email, a print flyer and a property page with a protected contact form. Each step is priced on its button before it runs (photo enhance 1 credit · AI staging & edits from 4 · walkthrough from 4 (AI clips from 18) · copy pack 3 · property page 9 · floor plan & flyer free). How to use it
Will buyers know a listing photo was virtually staged?+
Yes. Every AI-edited photo from the Real Estate Listing Studio has its label drawn on it (“Virtually staged”, “Virtual twilight” and so on) and carries Content Credentials, and its original is always available beside it — on the property page, in the ZIP and through the flyer's QR code. For MLS uploads you also get a version without text on the photo and the caption to paste with it, because most MLSs don't allow text on listing photos.
Can QikTools write my LinkedIn posts in my own voice every week?+
Yes — the Personal Brand Engine turns a short weekly voice note, video, five interview answers or your notes into LinkedIn posts, X posts and threads, a newsletter, a blog article, carousels, quote cards and clip captions, planned on a calendar. It learns your voice from your own past posts and from the edits you make, waits for your approval on every piece and reminds you when to post — it never posts or engages for you. Prices are shown before you start (Engine Month 108 credits (30 days) · a week without it from about 21 credits). How to use it
Does the Personal Brand Engine post to LinkedIn or X automatically?+
No. LinkedIn and X forbid unofficial automation, and authentic posting does better. When a piece is due, you get an email with the text ready to copy and a button that opens the network — you post it yourself and mark it posted. It never likes, comments, follows or messages for you.
Can QikTools check my posts before I publish?+
Yes — Brand Guardian reviews captions, pictures and videos against your Brand Vault and advertising rules, scores them and suggests fixes: an on-brand rewrite, a corrected prompt to regenerate, or the Design Studio. Set your rules in Brand Vault → Guardian rules; the rule checks are free as you type, and a full review is priced before it runs. Open Brand Guardian
Can QikTools tell me which of my ads work best?+
Yes — the Ad Performance Lab reads the CSV or Excel exports from Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and TikTok Ads Manager in your browser (no account connections, nothing uploaded) and gives you a free report that only calls a winner when the difference is statistically significant: confidence ranges, ad fatigue, creative patterns and budget moves. An optional AI read explains why your winners win and writes next-round briefs you can launch in the Campaign Orchestrator; its price is shown before it runs.
Can QikTools make new versions of my winning ad and test them?+
Yes — the Winning Ads Loop finds your proven winners from a Meta, TikTok or Google Ads export, makes new versions one change at a time (a new hook, another AI creator, a new shape or language, or your real offer) in AI UGC Ad Generator or Product Ads, gives each a name with a short tag, and when you import the next results it shows which version beat the original. The statistics, test plan and dashboard are free; each paid step shows its price first.
Can I turn product photos into a 3D model?+
Yes. The 3D Product Studio turns one to four photos of a product into a textured 3D model — Draft, Standard or Premium, with the price shown before you start and refunded automatically if the model can't be made. Then light it, take studio shots from any angle, make 360° spin videos and see it life-size in your room with AR — all free. Models download as GLB (and USDZ for iPhone) and stay available for 30 days, so download what you want to keep.
Can I make a personalised children's book, comic or love-story book?+
Yes. The AI Storybook & Comic Studio has templates for picture books, bedtime stories, ABC and counting books, comics and manga, and personalised gifts — our love story, anniversary, wedding, reasons I love you, birthday, new baby, grandparents, pets and family memories. Answer a few questions, set up your characters and it writes the story and illustrates every page with the same faces. Every step is priced before it runs; layout and exports are free.
Can I print my storybook?+
Yes — download a print-ready PDF: 300 DPI pictures (upscaled automatically where a model's size falls short), optional bleed and crop marks, trim and bleed boxes, RGB colour that printers convert, plus a separate cover PDF. Ordering prints inside QikTools isn't available yet. Publishing on Amazon KDP? Declare the AI-generated images and text when you upload; every book includes an AI disclosure page by default. How to use it
Can I turn photos of my family into storybook characters?+
Yes, with permission: adults confirm the photo is theirs or that they have the person's consent, and a child's photo needs a parent's or guardian's confirmation. Photos are always redrawn as illustrations — never realistic pictures or video — and the photo itself isn't kept with the book. Pets' photos work too (we check them for people first).
Who owns what I create?+
You own your inputs and, as far as the law and our AI providers' terms allow, the outputs you create — including for commercial use. You're responsible for using them lawfully. See the Terms of Service.
What can't I create?+
No sexual or intimate imagery of real people, nothing that sexualises or harms children, no faces or voices of real people without their written consent, no public figures, no fake documents, weapons instructions, fraud or deceptive fakes of real events, and never removing AI labels. Read the AI & Acceptable Use Policy.
Why was my request refused?+
Our safety checks refuse requests that break the AI & Acceptable Use Policy — for example real public figures, sexual content of real people, fake documents or weapons. Nothing is charged for a refused request. If you think it's a mistake, write to hello@qiktools.com.
Privacy & security
Do you sell my data or train AI on it?+
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers, and we don't use your content to train AI models. Each AI provider receives only what a single job needs, and some providers' own terms let them use it to improve their models — see how AI providers handle your content and who processes data.
Is this the real QikTools website?+
Our only website is www.qiktools.com. Pages, apps or messages using our name anywhere else aren't ours and may be fraudulent, and we'll never ask for your password or card details by email, chat or phone. When you pay, you go from our site to our payment partner's secure checkout. Spotted a fake? Tell us at hello@qiktools.com or with the report form. More on our Trust Center.
Do the AI providers train on what I send?+
Some can. The provider that runs a job receives what that job needs, and some providers' own terms let them use content to train their models — Runway's terms say inputs and outputs may be used to train its models. Where a provider lets us switch training off, we do; where it doesn't, its own terms apply and we have no control over that use. Each provider's stance is on the AI Models & Providers page.
Why were my credits kept when the AI model refused my request?+
We check every request with our own safety filters first. If a request passes them but the AI model's own safety system refuses it and that provider charges us for the attempt, the credits shown for that run are kept, as our Terms explain. If the provider doesn't charge us, your credits come back automatically — most refusals are refunded.
Why won't the natural or expressive voice read my ad?+
Those voices come from a provider whose rules don't allow ads for alcohol, tobacco or vaping, medicines, supplements, herbal remedies, medical devices, real-money gambling or payday loans. The Standard voice can read these scripts. Nothing is charged when we stop one.
Why does uploading audio or video add a credit?+
Before your recording or video reaches an AI model, we check it: frames of a video are screened like pictures, and the first 60 seconds of speech are transcribed and screened. The transcription costs us a little, so the price you see includes about 1 credit for that check.
Do you have a Trust Center, a DPA or a security questionnaire?+
Yes. The Trust Center covers security, privacy, AI transparency and our safety measures. Business customers can read and download our Data Processing Agreement (GDPR Article 28, with the EU transfer clauses and an India DPDP addendum), and our security questionnaire answers common vendor questions, with a CSV download. We don't hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification yet.
Can I download or delete my data?+
Yes, any time: Settings → Profile has Download my data (a machine-readable file) and Delete account, which removes your account, projects and uploads.
How is my account protected?+
Encryption in transit, private storage, row-level access rules, bot protection at sign-up, hashed API keys, rate limits and audit logs. More on the Security & Trust page.
How can I tell if a file was made with QikTools?+
Check it on the verification page: upload the file or paste a link. If it carries our credentials you'll see when it was made, with which tool and model, and how it was marked as AI-generated — never who made it. Realistic pictures and videos also carry a visible AI-generated label. Audio in a cloned voice, and AI speech delivered as audio (for example from AI Voice Studio), starts with a short spoken disclosure; videos with AI speech carry the visible label. Removing labels or metadata is against our terms.
Are AI results labelled?+
Yes. Realistic images and videos carry a visible "AI-generated" label. Audio in a cloned voice, and AI speech delivered as audio (for example from AI Voice Studio), starts with a short spoken disclosure; videos with AI speech carry the visible label. Most pictures also carry an invisible watermark; and files carry signed Content Credentials (timestamped when our timestamp service is available) that anyone can check on the verification page. Removing them isn't allowed. See AI Labels.
Is AI-written text marked too?+
Yes. Text from our writing tools is AI-generated text, and the EU AI Act asks us to make it recognisable by machines. When you copy it, the formatted version on your clipboard carries a machine-readable AI mark, while the plain text is exactly your text. When you download it, the file carries the mark: Markdown front matter, HTML meta tags and schema.org data, Word, PDF and PowerPoint properties, a note in WebVTT captions, or a labelled line at the end of a .txt file. When we recognise the words of a downloaded text file, its mark is digitally signed by QikTools. We never hide characters inside your words. Please keep the mark when you publish: removing it to pass AI text off as human-written isn't allowed under our terms. How it works.
How do I check whether a text was written with QikTools?+
Open the verification page, choose Check text and paste the text, or open a .txt, .md or .html file. Your browser makes a one-way fingerprint of it and sends only that, so the text never leaves your device. You'll see whether it matches text QikTools generated — exactly, mostly or in part — how sure we are, and the day and tool, never who made it. Texts of about 30 words or more can be checked; a shorter one, like a caption, a headline or a hashtag line, is too short to match reliably. A match shows the same words appear in text we generated; it can't show who wrote them first, and a person may have edited it. No match doesn't show that a person wrote it: the text may come from another tool, be heavily rewritten or translated, or be older than our records. You can download the result as a signed file.
What does QikTools keep so a text can be checked?+
For each finished piece of about 30 words or more that our writing tools generate, our servers keep a one-way fingerprint — a hash of the text and a sample of hashes of its word sequences — with the tool, the AI model and the date. Never the text, and nothing about who made it or which account: there is no one to look up. Fingerprints are deleted after 3 years. A piece that mostly repeats your own material, and small fixes to your own writing (spelling, grammar, a word or two — under 15% changed), aren't recorded. When you download AI text while signed in, your browser sends that fingerprint, never your words, to get the file's signature.
Which texts aren't marked as AI-generated?+
Small edits to your own writing (spelling, grammar, a word or two), translations of your own text (where a tool can tell it's yours), transcripts of speech, code and markup written for websites (such as the GEO Auditor's llms.txt and JSON-LD files), spreadsheet formulas, and single words such as titles or hashtags. The EU's guidance treats these as standard editing or as outside the rule. Alt text and other short labels aren't marked where a mark would change what a website or CMS imports. A heavy rewrite, a summary, or text our tools write from your notes is AI-generated and is marked. Spreadsheet and feed files (CSV, TSV) and SubRip subtitles (.srt) have no place for a mark without breaking the marketplace, CMS or video player that reads them, so they are left exactly as they are; the text files beside them (a pack's listing.txt, a .vtt) carry the mark, and our records still recognise the words. Words copied out of a page by hand can't carry a mark either, which is what Check text is for.
Do files I export from the editors carry Content Credentials?+
Yes. Films from Movie Director, clips from the Video Studio, and pictures and PDFs from the Design Studio and Carousel Studio are signed when you export them: a copy goes to your own private storage for a moment and comes straight back signed. If that can't happen, you still get your file, with its visible label where it needs one.
Is there a free way to check files automatically?+
Yes. The verification page has a free API: send a file or a link and get back JSON saying whether it was made with QikTools, how it was marked, and whether its Content Credentials are valid and trusted — never who made it. Texts can be checked the same way, up to 200,000 characters. No account or key needed; fair-use limits apply.
Why do some checkers call QikTools credentials "untrusted"?+
Credentials are "trusted" when the signer's certificate is on the C2PA Trust List. QikTools isn't on it yet, so some checkers show our credentials as from an unknown source. They're still valid: the signature proves the file hasn't changed since we signed it, and the verification page confirms it came from QikTools.
How do I prove how a file was made and labelled?+
Make a Compliance Report in the Compliance center: pick files by date, tool, project or collection, or paste generation IDs. For each file you get its generation ID, tool, model and provider, its AI label and Content Credentials, the consent records that apply and a /verify link — as a PDF, JSON or CSV with a SHA-256 fingerprint. It's free (up to 500 files per report). Team owners and admins can report on files shared with the team.
Can QikTools delete my old files automatically?+
Only if you switch it on: Compliance → Data retention deletes files made more than 30, 90, 180 or 365 days ago. You preview exactly what would go, confirm by typing DELETE, and every round is announced 7 days ahead. Files used in projects you changed recently, files waiting for review, kept copies and files in collections are never deleted, and the generation records stay so /verify still works. Results hosted by our AI provider leave your library and our records, but the provider's own copy can't be erased by its address.
How does my company accept the DPA or export the team's audit log?+
The team owner or an admin can accept our Data Processing Agreement for the team on the Team page or in Compliance → Team records — we record who accepted, when and the version (no IP address). The same people can download the team's audit log as a CSV for any date range in the last two years.
Teams & developers
Is there an API?+
Yes. The QikTools API lets you generate from your own apps, Zapier or Make, with webhooks when jobs finish. It's billed in credits like the app and is included on the Studio plan. Read the developer docs.
How do I invite teammates?+
Create a team in Team, then invite people by email. Everyone creates from the shared wallet and shared Brand Vault, library and calendar.
Can my company sign in with SSO?+
Yes. QikTools supports SAML single sign-on (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and others) for teams. The team owner first verifies the company domain in Team → Security (a DNS record) and adds QikTools as a SAML app in the company's identity provider, using the two values shown there. They then email hello@qiktools.com from their account with the provider's metadata (its web address, or the downloaded file). We connect it, usually within one business day, and the domain shows SSO connected in Team → Security (press Check connection if it doesn't update). People then choose Sign in with SSO with their work email, and the owner can require it for the domain.
Can we provision people automatically?+
Yes, with SCIM 2.0 directory sync (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID). Create a token in Team → Security. Only addresses at your verified domains can be added; deactivating someone removes them from the team at once, and their own QikTools account is never deleted.
Can I control what teammates can do?+
Yes. Give each person a role — Admin, Editor, Viewer or your own — with permissions like spending the team's credits, a per-run credit limit, posting without approval and approving runs.
What are approvals?+
Optional rules the team owner can switch on: team posts need approval, and runs above a set number of credits need approval. Nothing is charged or posted until an approver says yes.
Support
How do I contact support?+
Ask Munns first — it knows every tool. For anything about your account, use Settings → Help or email hello@qiktools.com. We reply as fast as we can, usually within one business day.
Can I talk to Munns out loud?+
Yes, when you're signed in: open Munns and press Talk (or Talk to Munns on the home and pricing pages). It's a live voice conversation with captions, free within your talk time — 15 minutes a day (30 a week) on paid plans, team and agency seats and recent credit purchases, 3 a day (5 a week) on free and trial accounts — and a conversation lasts up to 10 minutes. You're talking to an AI: Munns can open pages and draft a message to our team, but never runs a tool or spends credits. We don't record or keep your voice. If your microphone is blocked, Munns in text answers the same questions.
Who runs QikTools?+
QikTools is a trade name of Sarthak Daruka, an individual carrying on business in India as a sole proprietor, based in Asansol, West Bengal. Complaints go to our Grievance Officer: see Grievance Officer & Contact.
Who can use QikTools?+
Adults only: you must be 18 or older. See the Terms of Service.
How do I report a deepfake, intimate image or impersonation?+
Use the report form. You don't need an account. Intimate or morphed images and child-safety reports are disabled across QikTools as soon as you send the form (or within 2 hours if a report needs checking first) and reviewed within 2 hours; other removals within 36 hours. You get a reference and every decision with its reasons.
