In Indian rupees, you buy from us: Sarthak Daruka, trading as QikTools is the seller, and Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited) processes the payment as our payment gateway. QikTools isn’t registered for GST, so no GST is added to rupee prices and your receipt says so. We carry out any refund we agree or the law requires, through Razorpay, to the payment method you used.
In US dollars, our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for those orders. It processes your payment, charges and pays the applicable sales tax, VAT or GST, issues your receipt, and carries out any refund we agree or the law requires. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Your use of QikTools is governed by our Terms of Service.
Where a purchase is processed by a card processor instead (for example some team plans paid through Stripe), we are the seller and Stripe handles the payment for us; refunds are then made by us, through Stripe, on the same terms as this policy.
For anything about your plan, credits or a charge, write to us first at hello@qiktools.com. We know your account and can usually fix things the same day.
Cancel any time in Settings → Subscription → Cancel plan, in a couple of clicks (team owners cancel the team plan in Team settings). There is no cancellation fee and no need to call or email us.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for. You keep its features and credits until then, and you won’t be charged again.
- You can change your mind and resume the plan any time before the period ends — except a plan paid in rupees, which can’t be resumed once cancelled because your bank’s mandate for it closes; choose a plan again when the period ends.
- For a yearly plan, the monthly credit instalments continue until the paid year ends.
- When the period ends, your account becomes a Free account. Unused plan credits end with the plan. Purchased credits stay in your account.
- Your projects stay, and the Free-plan storage rules then apply: projects not edited for 15 days are deleted. Keep copies of anything you need.
- You can choose a plan again whenever you like. The one-time free trial doesn’t come back.
- We email you before every renewal of a personal plan: about 2 days before a monthly renewal, and 30 to 40 days before a yearly renewal.
- Each reminder states your plan, its price in the currency you pay in, and how to cancel.
- Every renewal is charged in your plan’s currency (US dollars or Indian rupees) at its price: in US dollars, plus any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live; in rupees, with no GST added, because QikTools isn’t registered for GST.
- Team plans renew monthly; the price is shown in Team settings, and the next renewal date there too (for a US dollar plan, in the billing portal it links to).
- If we change the price of your plan, we email you 7 to 30 days before your first renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Rupee plans renew by UPI AutoPay or a card or bank mandate, under the Reserve Bank of India’s e-mandate rules: you’re told before each automatic payment (by your bank, your UPI app or Razorpay). A renewal of more than ₹15,000 by card or UPI needs your approval each time. If you don’t approve it, the renewal fails, we tell you, and paid features may pause until it is paid. Your purchased credits stay yours.
Plans, team seats and credit purchases are final once made, including when you cancel a plan later in the period you paid for. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn’t refund the current period, and unused credits have no cash value. We will always refund you, to your original payment method, when:
- we charged you in error, for example a duplicate payment or the wrong amount;
- you didn’t get what you paid for and we couldn’t fix it within a reasonable time, for example credits or plan features that weren’t delivered, or a service that was deficient or not as described;
- we close QikTools, or materially reduce a plan you paid for, as the Terms describe (unused yearly months and unused purchased credits);
- you validly withdraw from a purchase under the next section;
- any other law gives you a right to a refund that can’t be excluded.
We refund in the currency you paid in; your bank may show a different amount if it converts it.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, or in another country with a similar law, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason.
Why the right usually ends when your credits arrive
QikTools delivers credits and access immediately. So at checkout we ask you to tick a box confirming: “I want QikTools to start immediately and understand I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once credits are delivered.” We confirm it in the purchase email we send you. Once the credits are in your account, that purchase can no longer be withdrawn.
If the right of withdrawal still applies to a purchase (for example because that confirmation wasn’t given), you can withdraw within 14 days of the purchase by sending us a clear statement, for example with the form below, to hello@qiktools.com. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving it, to your original payment method. If you had already asked us to start and used some of the credits or the plan, we keep a proportionate amount for what you used and remove the remaining credits from that purchase.

To: Sarthak Daruka, trading as QikTools, Asansol, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, India, hello@qiktools.com
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following purchase: ____________
Purchased on: ____________
Name: ____________
Email address of my QikTools account: ____________
Date: ____________
These rights apply to consumers only, not to businesses, for example team plans bought for an organisation.
- Plan credits come with an active plan. Up to 1,000 unused plan credits (400 on Lite) carry over each month while the plan is active; the rest expire. All plan credits end when the plan ends.
- Purchased credits don’t expire while your account is open, and they stay when you cancel or change plans.
- Trial credits last 7 days. When you run a tool, trial and plan credits are used before purchased credits.
- Deleting your account cancels any personal plan straight away and ends all your credits. That isn’t refunded, unless the law requires it.
- If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the unused credits it added are removed from your balance. Your balance never goes below zero.
- Our own safety checks run before any credits are taken, so a request they stop costs nothing.
- If a run fails, because the AI provider errors or it takes too long, the credits go straight back to the balance they came from. The one exception is a provider-charged safety refusal, explained in the next section.
- If a run stops before it finishes, for example because our servers restart or stop while it is running, its credits are refunded in the same way, automatically and only once, usually within about 20 minutes and without you having to ask. If its result arrives after that refund, it isn’t delivered and nothing is charged again.
- Some runs hold the most they could cost, for example a talking-head video priced by length, and give back the unused part as soon as the result is ready.
- You can see every charge and refund in your usage report.
When an AI provider refuses a request and charges us
We check every request with our own safety filters before it reaches an AI model. If a request passes our checks but the AI provider’s own safety system refuses it and the provider charges us for that attempt, the credits shown for that run are charged and not refunded. If the provider doesn’t charge us, your credits are refunded automatically. Repeated attempts to get around safety systems can lead to suspension.
We keep credits only when the provider’s own published billing rules say it charges for that refusal, and the tool tells you when that has happened. The full rule is in our Terms of Service.
Money refunds go back to the payment method you used: we refund a rupee payment through Razorpay, and our payment partner refunds a US dollar payment. We issue or ask for them within 7 days of agreeing a refund (within 14 days of a valid withdrawal notice), and your bank may take a further 5 to 10 working days to show the money. We will tell you when a refund has been issued.
If something looks wrong on a bill, write to hello@qiktools.com first. We reply quickly and fix genuine errors. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 7 days.
If you open a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank without contacting us, your account may be limited while it is reviewed. If the dispute succeeds, the credits from that payment are removed. Chargebacks for payments you actually made and received credits for may lead to your account being closed.
- Upgrades start straight away, and checkout shows exactly what you’ll pay and the credits you’ll get before you confirm. A monthly upgrade starts a new month on the bigger plan at its full price, and the credits you already have stay yours.
- Switching to yearly on the same plan or a bigger one starts the yearly plan straight away at its full price, and the credits you already have stay yours. On a US dollar plan, an upgrade from one yearly plan to a bigger one is charged less the unused part of your current year; on a rupee plan it starts at your next renewal.
- Downgrades, and switches from yearly to monthly, take effect at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then. Nothing is charged or refunded for them.
- Plan changes are charged in your current plan’s currency. For a rupee plan, a change is a new subscription you approve in Razorpay’s payment window: an upgrade is paid there straight away, and a downgrade is approved now and first charged at your next renewal.
- Team plans: a change that costs more each month (for example more seats, or a bigger Agency plan) starts a new month at the new plan’s full price straight away (the team keeps its credits, and the unused part of the old month isn’t refunded); a change that costs less (fewer seats, or a smaller plan) starts at the next renewal.
- Prices are on the pricing page. The Terms of Service have the full rules.
The team owner manages the team plan, seats and team top-ups in Team settings, and cancelling works the same way: the plan runs to the end of the paid period. The number of seats, and its price, is shown and confirmed before you pay for it. Team credits belong to the team’s shared balance. Team plans are bought for an organisation, so the consumer right of withdrawal doesn’t apply to them. The Agency plans (Agency, Agency Plus and Agency Scale) are team plans too: the same cancellation and refund rules apply, and the Agency Addendum adds the rules for making content for clients.
