What changed on 12 October 2026
Version 2026-10-12
- Workspaces: your account can have a personal workspace and the workspaces of the teams or agencies you belong to, and you switch between them at the top of every page. Projects you make in your personal workspace are private to you (a team’s admins can’t see them); projects made in a team are shared with that team, and you can move projects you own. If you join only through a team or an agency, your free trial comes when you activate a personal workspace.
- Paid plans, team and agency seats, and credit purchases from the last 30 days now include free quick actions: small, everyday-sized text steps such as captions, short rewrites, single document answers and reading text from a photo, within a daily and weekly allowance. Very large requests are priced by size and show their price before you run them.
- Where prices usually include tax (for example the EU, the UK and Australia), our dollar prices are now shown with your country’s standard VAT or GST included, and the price before tax beside it; the payment page still shows the exact total.
- AI-written text: where OpenAI’s text watermark is switched on, the words our AI models write also carry its invisible watermark, and you must not deliberately defeat it. Our fingerprints of AI-written text now rely on legitimate interests rather than a legal obligation, and you can ask us to remove a text’s fingerprint.
- If the person whose voice or face a Voice Vault voice or person model copies withdraws their consent, we also remove our copies of what was made with it (saved copies, share links, public pages and scheduled posts). If we suspend or close an account, its property pages’ pictures and video leave public view straight away and are kept privately until the suspension ends.
- A property page now stays online for 12 months from when it is published or last renewed, includes about 1 GB of visitor traffic a year and can be renewed; updating it no longer extends that period, and we remind you before it ends.
- We now keep a copy of each email we send you for 90 days (never one-time sign-in codes or the private tokens inside links). Reminder emails are marked as promotional and start switched off for new accounts in Canada and South Korea, as in the EU, the EEA and the UK. The Cookie Policy lists Cloudflare’s security cookie on our file storage.
- Ad templates in the AI UGC Ad Generator and the AI Product Video Generator: one fixed price shown before you create, refunds by step if a part can’t be made, and remaking a single shot within three days at its own price.
- Film pages: you can publish a film made in the AI Movie Director as a public page for 12 months with a yearly viewing allowance. Only media made in QikTools can be hosted, views and plays are counted without cookies, and anyone can report a page. A trailer kept on YouTube or Vimeo loads nothing until a visitor presses play (see the Cookie Policy).
- Same voice in every shot: the AI Movie Director can re-voice each spoken line in the stock voice you choose for a character (on by default where a model’s voices change between shots) and check it back word for word; a clip that says more than your line, or a line the new voice mishears, keeps the clip’s own voices and you pay only for what was used.
- To protect our access to AI providers, your requests to a provider pause for 24 hours if its safety system turns down 2 of them in a day (our other providers keep working), and a provider may pause for everyone for about 30 minutes after unusual refusals. Some providers’ rules are stricter than ours, and content for political campaigns isn’t allowed.
- Free helpers (reading a web page, Munns and “Enhance my prompt”) have fair-use limits, higher on paid plans. We send OpenAI a one-way safety identifier with your requests so it can act on misuse by one account, and we record providers’ refusals (never their content) for one year.
Earlier changes

- You can now pay in Indian rupees as well as US dollars. In rupees you buy from QikTools itself and Razorpay processes the payment, with no GST added while QikTools isn't GST-registered; in US dollars Dodo Payments still sells to you as merchant of record. A plan renews, changes and is refunded in the currency it was bought in, and for a renewal above ₹15,000 by card or UPI your bank asks for your approval each time. One small preference cookie remembers the currency you pick.
- Team and Agency plans can be changed in the app: the owner, or a member whose role allows billing, can add or remove seats or move between Agency plans. A change that costs more starts a new month at the new plan’s full price straight away; one that costs less starts at the next renewal.
- Save to Library: you can keep your own copy of a result in your private storage instead of losing it when the AI provider deletes its copy (some do so after about 7 days). Unless you switch it off, we also keep a copy when you export a result, share it by link or use it in a campaign. How much you can keep depends on your plan, and we never delete a saved file because your storage is full.
- Agencies on an Agency plan can let people at their clients sign in to the agency’s review portal with a one-time code we email them, instead of opening each link. The Agency Addendum now says who may be added and what they can see.
- Nano Banana pictures are now made through fal. Runway makes them only as an automatic backup when fal can’t, and never for a request that asks for providers that don’t train on your content; the AI Models & Providers page and the Privacy Policy say so.
- Property pages from the Real Estate Listing Studio now carry the “written with AI” statement for the headline and highlights as well as the description, whenever they use the studio’s wording.
- The pictures and video on a published property page are now kept in our own storage while the page is live, instead of an AI provider’s short-lived links, and are removed when the page goes offline, expires or is deleted. A walkthrough video on a property page must be one made in QikTools.

- New tools, each with its own rules in the Terms and the Privacy Policy: Winning Ads Loop, Accessibility Autopilot, Marketplace Listing Engine, Real Estate Listing Studio, Video Dubbing Autopilot, Personal Brand Engine, Course Factory, Global Launch Kit, and the updated AI Video Translator.
- AI-written text is now marked: copies and downloads carry a machine-readable AI mark, we keep a one-way fingerprint of finished AI text (never the text itself) for 3 years, and anyone can use “Check text” on our verification page.
- Runs that stop because our servers stop are refunded automatically, usually within about 20 minutes, and the exact same paid request sent twice within a few seconds is charged only once (for the Developer API, an Idempotency-Key makes retries safe).
- Every consent and confirmation you give is kept as a tamper-evident record (for 6 years after your account closes), and your data download is now a readable PDF plus a ZIP.
- Accounts you connect, such as YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Meta, TikTok and Google Ads, are platforms you authorise, not our processors; we only read what each tool needs.
- You can delete a translation or a dub from your history, and subtitles and transcripts made from YouTube captions are deleted within 30 days.
- Also new: agency plans and the Agency Addendum, the Lite plan, “Auto (best value)” model choice, the free first ad, a fuller retention schedule and cookie list, and an updated Data Processing Agreement.

- AI providers: the companies whose models run your jobs receive what each job needs. Some providers’ own terms let them use that content to train their models (Runway’s do). We switch training off wherever a provider lets us; where it doesn’t, its terms apply and we can’t control that use.
- Provider safety refusals: we check every request first. If a request passes our checks but the AI provider’s own safety system refuses it and charges us for that attempt, the credits shown are charged and not refunded. Otherwise failed runs are still refunded automatically.
- Third-party models: you must follow the usage policies of the providers whose models you use. Our AI & Acceptable Use Policy now lists their rules in one place.
- Official channels: www.qiktools.com is our only website, and we’ll never ask for your password or card details by email, chat or phone.
- New: a Data Processing Agreement for business customers, a Trust Center with a security questionnaire, and a feed of changes to our list of processors.
1 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-01
- Prices are now shown in US dollars before tax. Our payment partner adds any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live and shows the full total before you pay.
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel: you agree to this separately at checkout, and we email you a confirmation of every purchase with how to cancel.
- Faces and voices: you confirm each time that a real person's face or voice is yours or used with their written consent, or mark a picture "No real person in it".
- Reported intimate imagery is disabled across QikTools and deleted from our storage, with a copy kept only as evidence; deleting a custom model also deletes its trained files at our AI provider.
- For accounts made in the EU, the EEA or the UK, occasional product reminder emails now start switched off; you can switch them on in Settings.
