AI Storybook & Comic Studio makes print-quality books with AI: children's picture books and bedtime stories, comics and manga, and personalised gifts such as your love story, a wedding or a new baby's first year. Answer a few questions and set up the characters, and it writes the story, illustrates every page with the same faces and gives you print-ready PDFs.
Open the studio and choose a tab — “Children's books”, “Personalised gifts” or “Comics & manga” — then press “Start this book” on a template. Each card shows its page range and suggested art style; comic templates use panels and speech bubbles, and manga reads right to left.
Under “Characters”, press “Set up” on each person or pet (or “Add a character”). Describe their look and press “Create character”, or choose “From a photo” and “Draw from photo” to have a photo redrawn as an illustration — confirm whose photo it is first; for a child's photo, confirm you're their parent or guardian. A pet's photo is checked for people before anything is charged. Add a full-length view and outfits (“looks”) such as pyjamas or a wedding outfit so they look the same on every page.
In “Write”, choose how many pages and check the plan. The estimate on the right lists the story, the characters still to draw and every picture, with the total — then press “Write my story”. Only the writing is charged now; pictures are charged page by page as they're made.
The editor shows the book as it opens, with every page below it. Select a page to change its layout, its words (or “Rewrite with AI”), its picture description, who's in the picture and what they wear, then press “Illustrate”. “Illustrate” at the top makes every missing picture two at a time — keep the tab open. Earlier versions stay under “Versions”, and comic pages have speech bubbles you can drag, point and resize.
Press “Export”: “Interior PDF” and “Cover PDF (front & back)” are print-ready; “Screen PDF” is small enough to email; “Pictures” downloads every page as a JPG. In “Video”, press “Voice the narration”, then “Make the video” for a read-aloud video with an “AI-generated” label in the corner. To share pictures, open Asset Brain and create a share link.

See plans and credit pricesWriting the story, each character picture, view and look, each illustration (priced by the image model and the book size, including an automatic upscale to 300 DPI where a model's size falls short) and the narration's voice are priced separately, and every price is shown before it runs. Layout, the PDFs, the page pictures and putting the video together are free. Pictures that fail are refunded automatically, unless the picture model's provider refused one under its own safety rules and charged us.
Every price is shown on the button before anything runs, and every plan pays the same number of credits for a run. If a run fails on our side, its credits go back automatically.
Yes. Download the print-ready PDFs and use the printer or publishing service you choose; ordering prints inside QikTools isn't available yet. Stores such as Amazon KDP ask you to declare AI-generated images and text, and every book includes an AI disclosure page by default.
Yes — the interior and cover PDFs are print-ready: 300 DPI pictures, optional bleed and crop marks, trim and bleed boxes, and colours in RGB (printers convert them). Ordering prints inside QikTools isn't available yet, so use the printer of your choice.
Characters with a picture are sent as reference pictures with every illustration, along with a full-length view (when you've made one) and the outfit they wear on that page, so faces and looks stay consistent. Very busy scenes can still vary a little — make another version of any page that drifts.
Yes, if you're their parent or guardian or have their permission: choose “From a photo”, confirm, and the photo is redrawn as an illustrated character. Children are only ever drawn in illustrated styles, and the photo isn't kept with the book.

When a result looks realistic, yes: an automatic check decides, and realistic pictures get a visible “AI-generated” label (if the check can't run, the label is added anyway). Stylised results such as illustrations don't need one. Every file carries signed Content Credentials that anyone can check on the verification page, and removing labels or credentials isn't allowed.
They go back automatically. The one exception: if a request passes our safety checks but the AI provider's own safety system refuses it and charges us for the attempt, the credits for that run are kept (Terms).
You own your inputs and, as far as the law and our AI providers' terms allow, what you create, including for commercial use. QikTools doesn't sell your data or train AI models on your content; some AI providers' own terms let them use what they receive (Privacy Policy). Settings → Profile has Download my data and Delete account, which removes your account, projects and uploads.
