How to use AI Image Upscaler
Full step-by-step guideStep 1: Add the picture you want to enlarge
In “Your image”, drop it on the upload box, click to browse or paste it from your clipboard. The upscaler is made for small images: if yours is already larger than about one megapixel, you'll see “That image is already large” and it can't be upscaled.
Step 2: Check the price and upscale
Once the picture is in, its price appears above “Transform it”, next to your balance. Press the button, or Ctrl+Enter (⌘+Enter on a Mac), and the enlarged version appears in a few seconds.
Step 3: Compare before and after
Drag the slider across the result to compare it with your original. Look closely at fine details such as small text, faces and edges.
Step 4: Edit, copy or schedule it
“Edit in Design Studio” opens the picture to add text or download it as PNG, JPG or PDF. “Copy link” copies the file's address, and the library button adds it to your Social Library for scheduling.

AI Image Upscaler: questions and answers
How big does the picture get?
Twice the width and twice the height, four times the pixels. It takes pictures of up to about one megapixel, such as 1024×1024, so results come out at about 2K.
Why can't I upscale my picture?
It's already larger than about one megapixel. The upscaler is designed to enlarge small images, so a picture of that size doesn't need it.
Will it change my picture?
It keeps the content and adds detail as it enlarges. Very small details can be re-drawn, so compare the result with the slider.
Can I upscale a picture made in another tool?
Yes. Many image tools show “Upscale” under the result, which runs it as a new version there.
How much does AI Image Upscaler cost?

Are pictures made with AI Image Upscaler labelled as AI?
They don't get a visible label, because they aren't realistic AI depictions of people or events. Every file still carries embedded metadata and signed Content Credentials that anyone can check on the verification page, and anything made from a file that already had our AI label is labelled again.
What happens to my credits if a run fails in AI Image Upscaler?
They go back automatically. The one exception: if a request passes our safety checks but the AI provider's own safety system refuses it and charges us for the attempt, the credits for that run are kept (Terms).
Who owns what I make with AI Image Upscaler, and what happens to my data?
You own your inputs and, as far as the law and our AI providers' terms allow, what you create, including for commercial use. QikTools doesn't sell your data or train AI models on your content; some AI providers' own terms let them use what they receive (Privacy Policy). Settings → Profile has Download my data and Delete account, which removes your account, projects and uploads.
